Sicily, Akragas. Ca. 420-400 B.C. Æ hemionkion (10 mm, 0.92 g, 3 h). Lion or hound(?) standing right, head turned to nip at uncertain object below / Pair of eagles perched left atop a dead hare(?); the nearer eagle, with closed wings, with head reared; the further, flapping its wings and lowering its head to tear at prey. Seemingly unpublished. Black patina with light earthen-green deposits. Fine.
