SEVERVS PIVS AVG, laureate head of Septimius Severus right / INDVLGENTIA AVGG around, IN CARTH in exergue, Dea Caelestis, head right, riding on back of lion leaping right over a spring gushing from rocks, holding thunderbolt and scepter. Cf. RIC 266 (head of Dea Caelestis facing); cf. BMC 335-8 (same); cf. RSC 222 (same). Minor porosity. Good very fine.
