Obv: T CAESAR VESPASIAN IMP IIII PON TR POT II COS II Head laureate r. Rx: S - C Mars advancing r. holding spear and shouldering trophy. Rare issue giving Titus' imperatorial and tribunician numbers which are usually omitted on the bronzes. The same obverse die was also used for the type Jew and Jewess beside palm tree imploring emperor standing with right foot on prow: RIC pl. 38, 499 and BMC 652, pl. 26.2.Extremely beautiful high relief portrait of Titus with dark green patina that shows up beautifully in sunlight.
