Asia Minor Central Iranian Openwork Hairpin; ca. 9th Century BC. This beautiful hairpin has an openwork pattern with square outside border design bordering the inner openwork chevrons. This is a very rare and fragile type. The top of the openwork panel originally terminated in open circles, three of which have broken off. Olive green patination. Rare piece, intact. Ex Harlan J.
