Rare denomination in this issue: Le Rider knew only three such hemidrachms, from three obverse and two reverse dies. Our coin is from one of the same obverse dies, but a new reverse die.This is a rather rare coin struck during the earliest part of the reign of Philip II; there is probably no better example available.
