CENTRAL GAUL. Loire Valley. AV stater (23mm, 7.80 gm, 12h). NGC XF 4/5 - 3/5, edge bend. Limoges type, imitating Philip II of Macedon. Laureate head of Apollo right, hair in parallel rows of curls / Charioteer, holding kentron, driving racing biga right, flower on stem below. De La Tour 2014. Very rare, and seldom encountered in this state of preservation! Well centered, struck in high relief, with lovely orange tones around devices.
