British Colony. George III gilt-copper Proof Penny 1806 PR63 Cameo NGC, KM-unl, Prid-2a. Centrally grained left edge. An extremely rare offering in gilt copper, this majestic proof features highly mirrored surfaces and a pleasing cameo nature. Some light cabinet friction is noted on the obverse, as well as some unobtrusive light spotting, but it nevertheless remains a wholly transfixing piece. The first which we have offered and the only example to sell in recent memory which this cataloger was able to locate.
