Frederik III Krone (4 Mark) 1659 AU58 NGC, Copenhagen mint, KM221, Dav-3576. Commemorating the repulsion of the Swedes and the breaking of the siege at Copenhagen. Obv. Crowned monogram upon mound. Rev. Manus Dei (Hand of God) emerging from clouds to left, severing hand emblematic of the Swedish king, which reaches toward Danish crown. Featuring very dramatic imagery, this pleasingly toned and near-mint crown is always a popular type, especially when encountered in such an exceptional state of preservation.
