Republic gold 8 Escudos 1855/2 QUITO-GJ VF25 NGC, Quito mint, KM34.1, Fr-8, Onza-1774. Highly original and rather pleasing for this scarce "Bolivar" type, with warm orange tone that circles the edges on both sides and surfaces that are void of heavy marks that detract from the appearance. Although commonplace for the type, a soft strike in the centers prevents a considerably higher estimate.
