François I (1515-1547) Ecu d'or au soleil de Bretagne ND MS64 NGC, Nantes mint, 2nd type, 3.41g, Fr-364, Dup-790. A remarkable example of this issue for Brittany, superbly struck and highly lustrous with faint cabinet tone. The only detraction is a slightly smallish flan, although none of the legends are rendered illegible.
