Napoleon gold 20 Francs 1807-A MS63+ NGC, Paris mint, KM687.1 var. (laureate head), Fr-487a. Bare head variety. A highly choice piece, with exceptionally blazing surfaces and golden-orange toning. Incredibly difficult to encounter in such a state, and one of the finest known. In 2015, an NGC MS64 realized a hammer of nearly $7,000, and, with this coin's plus designation, it should not be that far behind the former. A wondrous example.
