Napoleon silver Specimen "Breaking Camp at Bolougne and the Crossing of the Rhine" Medal 1806 SP64+ PCGS, Bramsen-430. 40mm. By Droz and Brenet. Dually dated in Roman numerals 24 August and 25 September 1805, struck in 1806. This sublime silver medal features the high-relief laureate bust of Napoleon on the obverse with a reverse illustration depicting an eagle at center, with scepter and draped pulvinar behind, crossed thunderbolts above. The reflective surfaces are argent-gray in tone, with an iridescent dappling of teal, gold, and lavender throughout. Visually sublime and in a commanding technical format.
