Saxony. Albert copper "House of Wettin" Specimen 5 Mark 1889-E SP66 Brown PCGS, Muldenhutten mint, KM1249a, Jaeger-123a. Issued in silver and bronzed-copper (4,310 copper pieces) to commemorate the 800th Anniversary of the house of Wettin. Obv. Bust of King. Albert facing right. Rev. Saxonia enthroned before her people, with a memorial stone showing the dates of the House of Wettin. A superb example, with flawless strike and even reddish-brown patina. The fields are fully prooflike with no noticeable flaws. Exceptional eye-appeal and the single finest example certified by PCGS, or NGC.
