Teutonic Order. Maximilian I of Austria 2 Taler 1614 XF45 NGC, Hall mint, KM30, Dav-5854. An admirable example of this popular Double Taler type with typical softness noted throughout the strike--although this appears somewhat better for the grade--and attractive toning that covers the massive surfaces in varying shades of gray. A number of stress marks are visible down the reverse center--a common occurrence on this type--and any handling abrasions witnessed fall within the confines of the assigned grade.
