ΙΩΑΝΝΗΣ ΚΩΛΕΤΤΗΣ, bust of Ioannis Kolettis right. Rev. ΡΟΜΦΑΙΑ ΤΩΙ ΚΥΡΙΩΙ ΚΑΙ ΤΩΙ ΓΕΔΕΩΝ, scene featuring a Greek soldier brandishing a sword and attacking two fallen Turkish soldiers to either side. Choice reddish-brown surfaces, with high relief and prooflike fields. Another example from the interesting and rare series of 12 medals struck on the occasion of the marriage of King Otho and Queen Amelia in 1836.
