Genoa. Republic 8 Lire 1796 MS64 NGC, Genoa mint, KM249, Dav-1370. Exceptionally lustrous and when viewed by the naked eye, one thinks that it certainly deserves Gem Mint State status; however, when viewed under magnification, there are just a few too many minor hairlines that prevent it from reaching that level. Nonetheless, a very attractive coin. A few small adjustment marks noted on the reverse in the central devices.
