Johann II Taler 1862-A MS61 NGC, KM-Y1, Dav-215. A charmingly toned crown, exhibiting hints of cobalt and goldenrod, as well as a pleasing underlying luster. Quite rare, with the one-year type featuring a paltry mintage of just 1,920 specimens. Some light hairlines are evident, but do not detract at all from its appeal and, in the opinion of this cataloger, the piece is rather conservatively grade. A premium-quality example.
