Mexico
Charles & Johanna Cob 3 Reales ND (1536) M-R VF20 (Sea Salvaged) ANACS, Mexico City mint, KM-0014, Nesmith-5d. The final issue of this very rare and short-lived denomination, struck with three strokes between the crowned pillars instead of the earlier three dots. Deep brown in color with significant granularity over the surfaces due to the centuries sitting at the bottom of the ocean. Because of this, the leftmost mintmark on the reverse, as well as the Rincon assayer marks, are no longer discernable.
