Ferdinand VII gold 8 Escudos 1819 LM-JP AU58 NGC, Lima mint, KM129.1, Fr-54. A coin whose quality is extremely difficult to improve upon, this wondrous piece exhibits only the slightest degree of light wear and scattered marks. Some of the highest points on the portrait and shield are weakly struck, a typical issue for the type, but it nevertheless remains a charming and greatly pleasing specimen. Tied for the finest graded by NGC with just two other examples.
