Catherine II silver Specimen Award Medal 1772 UNC Details (Repaired) PCGS, bt C. Leberecht, medal presented to Ivan Ivanovich Betskoy on November 20, 1772, Diakov 157.5 (R2), 62mm. Obv. Wigged bust of I.I. Betskoy right with chain of order on his chest. Rev. Two children on an obelisk holding a shield with I.I. Betskoy's monogram. A woman playing with two children with the Moscow Senate building in the background. Fully mirrored fields, with bold details and high relief. Light golden patina is accented by areas of blue around the peripheries. There appears to be small areas of surface smoothing on both the obverse and reverse. Rare.
