(leopard) hЄИRICVS : FRANCORV : ЄT : ANGLIЄ : RЄX, angel standing facing with outstretched wings supporting the arms of France and England / (leopard) XPC' : VIИCIT : XPC' : RЄGИAT : XPC' : IMPЄRAT, Latin cross , a lis and leopard to either side. Struck without a privy mark, this is part of the issue of mintmaster Étienne Marcel from 1433-1444. It is fully lustrous and lightly toned with the reverse fields lightly textured by die polish and a few ancient surface marks. The obverse is exceptional, fully struck up with pinpoint detailing in the central devices.
