Edward III (1327-1377) gold Noble 1361-1369 MS63 PCGS, London mint, Treaty Period, S-1502, N-1231. Crowned king with sword and shield standing facing in ship / Floriate cross with Є in central quadrilobe, cross potent mm. An appealing example of this scarce issue, misattributed by PCGS as S-1490, which would have the king's French titles rather than those of Aquitaine. It is lustrous and beautifully preserved with a somewhat pebbled texture to the obverse, the result of being struck with rusted dies.
