Umberto I gold 100 Lire 1883-R MS61 Prooflike NGC, Rome mint, KM22, Fr-18. From a mintage of just 4,219 pieces, this enchanting specimen yields tremendously lustrous and prooflike fields, while offering a minimum in terms of scattered hairlines, at least for the designation. An enchanting golden-orange hue envelopes the entirety of the surfaces, captivating the eyes of the viewer. Though this example represents the fifth version in MS61 which we have offered, it is the sole specimen to attain the coveted 'PL' designation, and deservedly so. Clearly, worthy of a premium bid.
