Mexico
Philip V gold Cob 8 Escudos ND (1712-13) MXo-J MS63 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM57.1, Fr-6. Though an exact date is not able to be determined, the degree of striking which is visible is extraordinary for the type, with an exquisitely choice appeal and an attractive orange peel tone. A classic representation of the more crude coinage which was struck in the colonial period of the new world colonies. A great deal of eye-appeal and worthy of intense consideration from the discerning collector of Latin American issues.
