Philip V gold Cob 8 Escudos 1713 MXo-J MS63 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM57.1, Onza-390. The last and telling digit of the date, '3', remains visible on the flan as does the full reverse cross which is a two-year sub-variety (1712-3), with each cross "arm" terminating in cross-like fashion instead of with the typical bars. Phenomenal luster remains over each side and no marks of substance are seen. Very likely recovered from the 1715 Plate Fleet.
