Nicholas II silver "Gymnasia" Medal 1911 MS63 NGC, by A. Griliches, Jr., Diakov-1516.1 (R4), Smirnov-1437, 70mm. Issued for the 100th Anniversary of the Kiev First Male Gymnasia. Obv. Conjoined busts of Nicholas II and Alexander I left. Rev. Angel holding shield and sword, with attributes of sciences and Russian double-headed eagle below. Well struck, with a touch of golden patina over matte, fully lustrous surfaces. Only minuscule marks are noted. Extremely rare and the only example certified by NGC. This is the only piece of this very rare silver medal that we have seen.
