Cyprus Government of Cyprus 5 Shillings 1.9.1952 Pick 30. After the death of King George VI, Bradbury, Wilkinson, & Co. was contracted to print 500,000 of the 5 shilling notes dated 1.9.1952 as a way to commemorate the King. Another 500,000 were printed with the same date, but with the Queen's portrait. The portrait was engraved based on a photograph by Dorothy Wilding and prepared for her coronation. The reduced number of notes issued with her portrait makes this date a rarity, with far fewer survivors that the other dates in the Pick 30 listing. Only 5 Shilling notes bearing this date and her portrait were printed, as the 10 Shillings and £5 notes of this series bear dates of 1953 or later. PCGS Very Fine 35. HID08701242017
