Jamaica Barclays Bank (Dominion, Colonial and Overseas) £1 1.3.1939 Pick S146sp Specimen Proof. Barclays operated in several British overseas possessions including Jamaica. These private bank issued notes circulated with higher denominations, as the government issued small change notes. After Government issued notes were introduced, almost all of these commercial bank notes were redeemed, leaving any issued examples very elusive.
