Brazil Caixa de Estabilizacao 10 Mil Reis 18.12.1926 Pick 103s Specimen. In an attempt to stabilize the currency, the Caixa de Estabilizacao was established, backing notes of the treasury in gold. These notes attempted to protect the Brazilian economy, which only lasted for a few years before the 1929 stock market crash and subsequent depression led to a different economic policy being adopted.
