Artaxiad Kingdom. Tigranes II. 83-69 B.C. AE 21 dichalkcon (20.52 mm, 6.04 g, 12 h). Head of Tigranes right wearing armenian tiara / [ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ] / [ΤΙ]ΓΡΑΝ[ΟΥ], titles vertically downward to right and left of Tyche of Antioch seated right holding palm-branch; at her feet swims river-god Orontes. Cf. Bedoukian 93-95; Cf. Depeyrot, Armenien S. 155 Nr. 85. damaged F, dark green patina with lighter deposits in recesses; devices profoundly confused by over-striking earlier coin or multiple strikes.

It is uncertain whether the Armenian dichalcon described is the host coin, subsequently overstruck with a different type, of the overstruck type on an undetermined host coin, or multiply struck at mint, perhaps with a flip-over between strikes
