Valentinian I. A.D. 364-375. AE centenionalis (17.49 mm, 2.77 g, 1 h). Nicomedia mint, struck A.D. 364/5, 366/7 (and later). D N VALENTINI-ANVS P F AVG, perl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valentinian I right / SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE, Victory walking left holding wreath and palm-branch // SMNΓ. RIC 12a, 3; LRBC 2328. VF, "earthen highlights" nearly black patina on devices, ochre deposits in recesses and fields - striking contrast!.

Minting of these centenionales for Valentinan I was suspended at Nicomedia during the revolt of Procopius in A.D. 365- there is no way to distinguish between those minted before and after the hiatus
