COLOMBIA. Banco de Barranquilla. 10 Pesos, 187_. P-S234p. Archival Record Book Face and Back Proofs. Extremely Fine Net.
This is a larger format note than the 1, 2, and 5 Pesos. A striking design with vignettes adapted from the earlier American obsolete note imprints (top center Native American princess engraved by Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson). 5,000 issued notes were authorized in April 1873. Orange face protectors and back. Some left side glue foxing is seen on the back proof. Otherwise, quite splendid. Extremely Fine Net.
From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Paper Money.
Estimate: $400.00- $800.00
