According to the ABN record book and the title, the bank was the operation of Palau, Corrales y Cia in Bogotá. This rare series is unknown in issued form, only as overprinted 1899 Provisional notes for the Banco Nacional, and proofs and specimens from the 1990 sale. There were 10,000 notes authorized for printing in November 1882. Series A only. Green tint and back. Well balanced face with cherub peering straight out from the center, popularly used on several ABNCo. printed series. A choice pair that is very fresh. Uncirculated.
