The third peso denomination with this larger, distinctive size format and highest from the series. There were 4,000 notes authorized for printing from the first November 1882 date and an additional 20,000 in February 1884. Series D. Brown face frame and tint with an intricate cherub design flanking the Landseer adapted dog and safe at top. Brown back. A beautiful type, perhaps a bit busy, incorporating many security printing features. Uncirculated.
