This is extremely rare, important, and possibly unique as a proof pair. The private company series circulated extensively and few are known. The 1990 ABN sale yielded few proofs from the two note series. There were 40,000 authorized for printing in March 1884. No series. Orange face tint and back. Both are choice India paper proofs on the record book page. Most importantly, the 50 Centavos back was the only example in the 1990 ABN sale. A very important type and opportunity for specialists. Uncirculated.
