COLOMBIA. Banco del Estado - Estado Soberano del Cauca. 1 Peso, 188_. P-S449p. Archival Record Book Face and Back Proofs. Uncirculated.
The first of four peso denominations from this Popayán bank and a rarity. There were 75,000 notes authorized for printing in October 1885. Series D. Rose and green multi-color face tint. The back is green, though it is noted in the record book that the back should have been red. Individual examples of this proof were not in the ABN sale and this might be unique as a proof pair. Both are choice. Uncirculated.
