A stunning bond paper specimen note of this type and much rarer than the proofs from the 1990 ABN sale. Green face frame and protector with three vignettes adapted from the American obsolete note series. Like other specimen notes from the archives, typical marks are noted with return to issue room stamp on the face and printer's annotation at the right edge in pencil. This was also the sole specimen note in Lot 753 of the 1990 Christie's sale. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
