COLOMBIA. 1834-RS 8 Escudos. Bogotá mint. Restrepo M165.27. MS-62 (PCGS).
Exceptionally attractive dark orange-yellow gold toning covers both sides, with impressive and unbroken cartwheel luster. Nicely centered and very well struck. A shallow lamination is plane to the surface of the lower left obverse field. A far above average example of this type.
From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian and Ecuadorian Coins.
From Stack's sale of October 1969, lot 128.
Estimate: $2500.00- $3000.00
