GREAT BRITAIN. Victoria "Old Head" Ten Piece Proof Set, 1893.
S-PS7; Fr-394a, 395a, 396a & 397a; KM-PS13. A fabulous and complete set of Queen Victoria's Veiled or "Old Head" issues, from 5 Pound to Threepence. A well matched set, all are certified by NGC with the exception of one piece certified by PCGS, with most pieces in older generation holders. The gold issues display nice cameo luster, with the Five Pound and Sovereign earning the "Ultra" designation. The silver issues either feature a bold electric blue tone or an appealing dusky rose. A visually appealing set that was clearly hand selected and completed over many years worthy of the most advanced collections. PCGS PROOF-65 CAMEO, NGC PROOF-63 CAMEO (1), PROOF-64 (3), PROOF-64 CAMEO (1), PROOF-64 ULTRA CAMEO (1), PROOF-65 (2) & PROOF-65 ULTRA CAMEO (1).
