HONDURAS. Pattern 25 Centavos Struck in Gilt Copper with Plain Edge, 1871. NGC MS-62.
cf.KM-Pn15. Not listed on NGC or PCGS's Population reports, presumably VERY RARE pattern of the adopted design and the first example that this cataloger can recall seeing. Sharply struck with nice skin displaying a lovely mottled orange tone on the obverse while the reverse displays lighter orange hues with hints of deeper tone amongst the device and atop some of the devices. Quite attractive and a real prize for the specialist of Honduran numismatics. NGC MS-62.
From the Richard Stuart Collection.
Estimate: $1000.00- $1500.00
