CANADA. Union Bank of Canada. 50 Dollars, 1912. CAD7301808. PMG Very Fine 25.
CH# 7301808. Winnipeg, Manitoba. This is a special offering, and the first time we have been able to offer this example. This 1912 50 Dollar note shows with 'Juanita,' a desirable vignette, at left holding a feather over her head. The right side pictures a vignette of the Quebec Citadel. A green hue permeates from the center of the note. The reverse shows an entirely green design with the Greek Key playing a big factor in connecting the 50 obligations that are protected by detailed lathework. Some flowers also show at the top left and bottom right of the back design, opposite of the obligations. The back design also shows a cornice with the bank name 'Union Bank of Canada' at center. Outside of some minimal handling that accounts for the grade, there are no issues to report. We cannot locate this note on the PMG population report, leading us to believe it is the only example known, and by proxy, the finest for the type. PMG Very Fine 25.

Estimate: $15000.00- $25000.00
