Neptune reclining on a globe and holding a Union Jack. Legend "SETTLEMENT OF THE BRITISH AT BOMBAY" above, date "MDCLXII" in exergue; Reverse: Neptune enthroned holding trident. Inscription "THE FRENCH FLEET REPULSED BY THE E. I. COMPYs. XV FEB. MDCCCIV" around. Part of Mudie's British Victories medal series. Highly reflective silver finish, darkening toward a golden russet toward the peripheries. Quite scarce in silver.
