INDIA. Madras Presidency. 1/4 Pagoda, ND (1808). NGC MS-63.
KM-352. Oblique edge reeding. Value in English and Persian on buckled garter; Reverse: Value in Tamil and Telugu around deity Vishnu with 18 stars. The SCWC states that the accompanying half pagodas (KM-353, -354,-355) were made from cut-down Mexican pesos and there is no reason to think the quarter pagodas were any different though no trace of such remains on this specimen. Boldly struck and highly attractive with lovely original tone. NGC MS-63.
