SWEDEN. 1/2 Daler Plate Money, 1711. Karl XII (1697-1718).
4.5 x 5.5 in. KM-PM30; AAH-186; BT-A2. (Tingstrom: 138 examples known including 73 pieces from the Nicobar). Variety with arrows under mint name. Stamps somewhat bold if a little uneven. Center stamp is clear but only about eighty percent full. Corner stamps exhibit three full dates and the fourth is light but discernible, all stamps are present with two being crowded to the edge of the plate. Dusty brown patina on obverse with some small specks of verdigris along some edges, reverse has a more pleasing mahogany color. VERY FINE.
