Syria, Trachonitis. Caesarea Panias. Claudius and Britannicus. A.D. 41-54. AE 19 (19.43 mm, 8.33 g, 12 h). A.D. 44-55. [TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IM P P] (or similar - illegible), laureate head of Claudius left / [BRITANNICVS AVG F] (or similar - illegible), bare head of Britannicus right. Cf. RPC I 4843. F, dark patina obverse - fields drastically lowered removing all traces of legend; Reverse is basically untouched and as-dug encrustation obscures any remaining legend traces.. Rare.
This attribution to Caesarea Panias, Claudius and Britannicus, is conjectural - the lack of legible legends, makes it more of an educated guess.
