Bulgaria, 2nd empire. Ivan Alexander (1331 - 1371) and Michael Asen IV (1322 1355). 1331-1371. AR Grosch (19.70 mm, 1.27 g, 7 h). struck 1331-1355. Christ, nimbate, standing facing, throne behind him, raising both hands in gesture of benediction; [IC - XC] to either side of nimbus, monograms in both fields / Ivan Alexander and Michael standing, facing, each holding a cross-tipped scepter in outer hand and holding between them a labarum bearing the Chi-Rho Christogram; monograms in both fields, two stars in lower fields. Cf. Yourokova-Penchev 77-9; Raduchev-Zhekov type 1.13, 3-6. VF, light original toning, large die-cud 9:00-11:00 obverse.
