Laureate head of Apollo right / ΑΛΕΞ, ethnic vertically upwards to left of Apollo Smitheus walking right, quiver over shoulder, holding bow and patera, mouse at his feet. SNG von Aulock 7545; BMC 9, 1; Bellinger (Troy, the Coins) A22. Fine, Rough black-green patina, uneven, minor deposits of lighter material in recesses and fields. Rare.

Coins of this type from the period immediately after the re-naming of the city by Lysimachos in 301 - Unit, half-unit, quarter & eighth are all rare and mostly overstruck on uncertain earlier types
