PHRYGIA, Laodicea ad Lycum. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Early 3rd century. Æ Medallion (36mm, 23.93 g, 6h). Dated CY 88 (AD 211). Diademed and draped bust of Demos right; c/m's: CЄ and bust of emperor (Severus Alexander?) right within circular incuse, and PH monogram within circular incuse / Statue of emperor, togate, within octastyle temple with arched entablature; Π-H (date) across upper field. Type unpublished in the standard references. For c/m's: Howgego 42 and 631. VF, green patina, flan crack.

The monogram countermark is actually a second date, corresponding to civic year 108 (AD 231).
