(x) Palestine Currency Board, specimen 500 mils, 15 August 1945, serial number L 000000, purple and pale pink-orange, Rachel's Tomb, Bethlehem at left, value at each corner, value in pale green guilloche at centre, three printed signatures of the Members of the Palestine Currency Board Percy Ezechiel, Sydney Caine, Christopher Eastwood and Raymond Kershaw at low centre, reverse purple, the Citadel of Jerusalem with the Tower of David at centre, value at left and right and low centre(Pick 6ds, B101ds , Dabbah p.226/227 for similar), in PCGS holder number 50, about uncirculated. This prefix never issued and believed to be one of only three examples extant. Important to note not to be confused with the 1939 'L'.
