Sicily. Syracuse. Agathokles, 317-289 BC. 25 Litrai (Electrum, 16 mm, 3.62 g, 2 h), c. 310-305. Laureate head of Apollo to left; behind head, bow. Rev. ΣΥΡΑΚ - ΟΣΙΩΝ Tripod with high ring handles. BMFA 447 (same dies). Jameson 846 (same dies). Jenkins O17/R34. A splendid example, well-struck and of very fine style. Almost imperceptible flan crack on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
